Role Description/Criteria

St George Preca School is seeking a qualified teacher, or a student seeking Permission to Teacher (PTT) for a Yr 4 classroom teaching position. This fixed-term contract is for the remainder of the 2025 school year, with the possibility of the position being available beyond the end of 2025. Experienced teachers as well as graduate teachers are welcome to apply.

St George Preca Parish Primary School in the Parish of St Catherine of Siena, Caroline Springs. The 2024 enrolment is approx. 725 students from Prep to Grade 6. 

We are seeking a teacher committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students in their care.

Applicants must be able to:

  • demonstrate a strong commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education
  • contribute as a member of a Professional Learning Team, planning and teaching in a collaborative environment focused on continual improvement
  • teach effectively to the diverse range of learning needs enriching the learning for all students
  • use data to inform teaching
  • high-quality teaching practices in Literacy, Numeracy, Religious Education or Inquiry learning
  • have the ability to inspire and encourage students with a love of learning
  • demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of contemporary learning and teaching
  • demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with colleagues, parents, and students
  • be committed to personal and professional growth
  • have registration (or eligibility) with V.I.T.
  • preferably have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
