Role Description/Criteria

Our Lady of the Southern Cross School is an integral part of the faith community of Manor Lakes and is one of six parish primary schools that are aprt of the St Andrew's Parish. ÌýOur Lady of the Southern Cross School is governed under the authority of Melbourne ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Catholic Schools Limited (ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ) ABN 18643442371. ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ is the employer of employees at Our Lady of the Southern Cross School.

We are currently seeking a full time teacher for a Year 1/2 Primary Class to commence at the beginning of Semester 2, 2025 (21st July). ÌýCandidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They will be able to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs by implementing differentiated learning experiences that are creative and engaging, use a variety of strategies, encourage the use of technology and challenge the students to be the best they can be.Ìý They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.Ìý

Salary: Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-
Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA) between Level T1-4 $87,814 and T2-6 $118,063

Teachers at OLSC are provided with a full day's planning each week and are released with their team to provide ample time to prepare effectively for their scheduled class time.Ìý For ease of transport we are located right behind the V-Line station that provides fast and convenient travel form both Melbourne and Geelong.ÌýÌý

  • An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements:

  • OLSC promotes the safety, well-being and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children;
  • The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration;
  • Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred;
