Role Description/Criteria

Key Role

  • work closely with the classroom teacher in implementing Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs) for students
  • to support the classroom teacher in daily administrative tasks e.g. preparing learning and teaching materials and resources
  • to support the children in the classroom to successfully complete learning activities during the day
  • to provide basic physical, social and emotional care for students.

Commitment to Catholic Education

  • a demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission.

Pastoral Care and Child Safety

  • be familiar with and comply with the school's child-safe policy and code of conduct, and any other policies or procedures relating to child safety
  • assist in the provision of a child-safe environment for students
  • demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing
  • be aware of and comply with the Work Health & Safety policies and practices of the school.

The position is due to commence at the beginning of Term 3, 2026, continuing throughout the remainder of the 2026 school year, and requires a 4-day-per-week commitment from 10am - 2.30pm (Monday - Wednesday and Friday), with an annual salary calculated in accordance with CEMEA 2022. All applicants must hold a current Working with Children Check for employment purposes and a valid National Criminal Record Check.
