Religious Education Symposium: Inspired by faith
JULY 22 and 23
Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ is proud to present the 2026 RE Symposium – Inspired by faith: Journeying to Excellence.
The Symposium is a key initiative of our ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ 2030 ambition – to become a system of schools where students and staff grow in virtue.
A pivotal year for Religious Education
As schools continue to engage with the developing Religious Education curriculum, 2026 marks an important moment to deepen understanding, build confidence, and strive for excellence. Achieving this requires a strong investment in our people – empowering leaders and teachers to deliver high-quality curriculum and foster vibrant Catholic communities.
Across the two days, the Symposium brings international and national experts and local RE leaders together to unpack key elements of the new Religious Education curriculum, explore contemporary approaches to Scripture, pedagogy and Catholic identity, and connect with mission colleagues committed to excellence across the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ.
It will equip delegates with the knowledge, inspiration and professional networks needed to lead and teach in Catholic schools with confidence and purpose.
Who should attend?
The Symposium is targeted at teachers and leaders in Catholic identity and Religious Education, and parish priests and school liturgical leaders. To ensure broad representation, each ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ school is invited to nominate four participants.
RE Symposium highlights
The RE Symposium opens with liturgy and prayer, and each day features leading international and national keynote voices in Catholic education. Their presentations frame the program, alongside multiple workshops that support shared learning and best practice.
The RE Symposium is an unparalleled and exciting opportunity for professional development and access to subject-matter experts.
ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ is proud to offer this opportunity to our staff and Catholic school religious education leaders across the ÃÛÌÒÊÓƵ.
Together, we’re enabling students to flourish and enrich the world.
