Role Description/Criteria

Our Justice and Youth Ministry programs are central to College life, supporting student wellbeing, faith formation, service learning, and community engagement. 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and values-driven AFL SportsReady Trainee – Justice and Youth Ministry to support the delivery of justice initiatives and youth ministry programs while completing a nationally recognised traineeship qualification. This role is ideal for someone interested in ministry, community services, education, or youth work. 

As a Justice and Youth Ministry Trainee, you will: 

  • Support the planning and delivery of justice, service, and youth ministry programs 
  • Assist with liturgies, retreats, reflection days, and community service activities 
  • Support student leadership and social justice initiatives 
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Justice and Youth Ministry team 
  • Assist with excursions, events, and partnerships with community organisations 
  • Develop workplace skills while completing your traineeship qualification

  • Compassionate, organised, and motivated to support young people and community-focused initiatives 
  • A genuine interest in justice, youth ministry, or community service 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Willingness to learn and engage in a school environment 
  • A respectful, reliable, and proactive approach to work
