De La Salle College is seeking an outstanding educational leader to join our Learning & Innovation and College Executive team as Director of Professional & Pedagogical Growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and visionary educator to lead a culture of professional excellence, instructional growth, and continuous improvement across the College community.
Working closely with the Deputy Principal – Learning & Innovation, College Executive Team and staff, the successful applicant will drive the strategic development and implementation of high-quality professional learning programs that enhance teaching practice, leadership capability, and student outcomes within a contemporary Lasallian learning environment.
Commencement Term 4, with flexibility for an earlier or later start date by negotiation.
About the Role
The Director of Professional & Pedagogical Growth will:
- Lead the strategic direction of professional learning across the CollegeÂ
- Design and implement whole-school professional learning programs and initiativesÂ
- Develop staff capability through mentoring, coaching and instructional leadershipÂ
- Oversee teacher induction, accreditation, registration support and appraisal processesÂ
- Facilitate leadership development programs for teaching and non-teaching staffÂ
- Promote evidence-based pedagogical practice and continuous improvementÂ
- Manage professional learning budgets and external professional learning processesÂ
- Foster a collaborative culture aligned with the College’s Mission, Vision and ValuesÂ
This Position of Leadership includes a time allowance of 24 periods per fortnight and is offered as a three-year tenure appointment.
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education including a Master’s Degree (preferable);
- Tertiary qualifications in Professional Learning or Instructional Coaching (desirable)
- Experience in relevant educational leadership
- Accreditation to Teach Religious EducationÂ
- Current VIT Registration.
- A strong commitment to Catholic and Lasallian educationÂ
- Proven educational leadership experience and highly effective teaching practiceÂ
- Exceptional communication, organisational and relationship-building skillsÂ
- Expertise in contemporary pedagogy, professional learning and instructional coachingÂ
- The capacity to inspire and develop staff through collaboration and mentoringÂ
- A commitment to child safety and student wellbeingÂ
- Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
