Role Description/Criteria
St Brendan’s Primary School, in Flemington, is a community Catholic school where everyone is known by name.

We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Physical Education/Sport Teacher to deliver high quality classes to our students including experience in teaching primary PE. This is a fixed term F.T.E. 0.2 role for the 2024 school year. The specialist day is a Wednesday.
The successful applicant will be willing and able to fulfill the following Key Selection Criteria:
? Commitment to the ethos and values of Catholic Education
? Possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum for PE/SportÌý
? Openness to ongoing learning and development
? Display enthusiasm, motivation and team oriented behaviours
? Be appropriately qualified and hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration.
Responsibilities and Criteria include:
? Showing enthusiasm for teaching Physical Education as a member of our diverse school community
? Encouraging children to identify the link between physical education and well-being
? Organising a school sports day
? Facilitating a variety of sports clinics through programs e.g. Sporting Schools and or local sporting clubs
? Possessing a detailed knowledge and understanding of the primary curriculum for PE/Sport.Ìý
? Understanding how assessment and evaluation promotes learning.
? Identifying, reflecting and implementing strong practice in teaching.
? Communicating openly and effectively with colleagues, students and parents.
? Participating in various school organised events where possible
? Possessing strong interpersonal, organisational skillsÌý
? Writing formal academic reports that conform to report writing guidelines
? Monitoring the progress of each student and provide meaningful and regular feedback to each student on their progress
? Demonstrating competency with digital technologies.Ìý
