Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking an innovative Religious Education Leader. ÌýThe POL 2 position will have a FTE of 0.4 and a classroom position to 0.6. The REL tenure will be for 3 years.

Applicants require:
- A deep understanding of and commitment to Catholic Education as a mission of the Catholic Church in Australia.
- Expert knowledge in the area of Catholic Identity and Religious Education.
- Advanced skills in the development and application of innovative Religious Education learning and teaching strategies.
- The ability to facilitate professional learning in the areas of Catholic Identity and Religious Education.
- A highly developed capacity to work with leadership to support schools to identify and address areas for improvement in the context of Catholic Identity and Religious Education.
- The ability to analyse and interpret data sets that may support school improvement and strategic planning.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Evidence of working towards or having academic qualifications additional to initial teacher education. A Masters in Religious Education or Educational Leadership will be seen as an advantage
- Relevant experience within the last five (5) years in Catholic parish primary schools, or currently in a role associated with and supporting Catholic parish primary schools
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education
- Evidence ofÌý involvement in their own Parish.
- A commitment to Child Safe Standards and the wellbeing of children
- Current VIT registration.
