Role Description/Criteria
As a Catholic Primary School we value respect, responsibility, resilience and being safe in students and staff and we are seeking to employ a graduate or experienced and talented classroom teacher and leader commencing Term 1 2026.
You must exude a passion for teaching, an excitement for seeing your students grow and learn, and be a real contributor to the learning and teaching life at SFX School.
The successful applicant be committed to:
* Teaching and learning within a Catholic Parish faith community and guiding students in their faith and Sacramental journey
* Be familiar with the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Vision for Instruction and show elements of this approach in the daily teaching
* Plan a Learning and Teaching program that meets the needs of students so as to actively engage them in their learning
* Working collaboratively with other members of the Junior or Middle or Senior School team and then drive Maths learning and teaching at SFX School.
* Explicit teaching in Mathematics, extending students at their point of need and enabling them to reason and problem solve with fluency and confidence
* Literacy improvement that is built on clear, intentional teaching methods shaped by the most recent findings in cognitive science. Creating and resourcing an English Curriculum, that is well-structured, challenging and draws on the latest evidence-based approaches.Â
* Delivering Inquiry learning grounded in core knowledge and spiritual understanding, promoting intellectual curiosity, critical reflection, and a sustained dedication to learning. It equips students to identify their passions and to participate thoughtfully and purposefully in the world around them.
Classroom teachers at SFX benefit from having preparation time in excess of CEMEA 2022 requirements due to the fact that we have seven specialist classes each week, a shared full time L.S.O in each level, and Intervention classes in English and Maths at each level.

Accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Catholic School (would be a real advantage)
