Role Description/Criteria

Year Level/Subject: Visual Art P-6

St Joseph's requires a passionate Visual Arts teacher to join our learning community. This position is for Term 4, 2025, commencing Tuesday October 7th, with the possibility of employment in 2026, subject to staffing.Ìý

Time fraction: FTE 0.66 - Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (all day), Friday 9-11am (planning, can be completed offsite).

Skills/Experience required:

  • Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
  • A strong commitment to Catholic education.
  • An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
  • An eagerness to learn.

Applicants must demonstrate:

  •     Creative and innovative teaching practice to provide a rich learning environment.
  •     Effective classroom practice and good management utilizing a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
  •     A sound knowledge of the curriculum in accordance with the Victorian Arts Curriculum.
  •     Have a strong ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Salary: FTE 0.66 $53,970 to $78,430 (Based on experience in accordance with the Teacher scale of the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA))
