Role Description/Criteria
The role of the Mathematics Leader will be to lead the staff in a process of strategic improvement for the purpose of ongoing improved student outcomes in Mathematics. The Mathematics Leader role at Cana Catholic School is integral to the effectiveness of the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement, and the successful applicant will work in collaboration with the School Leadership Team to demonstrate a high level of understanding of appropriate content knowledge and pedagogy in this area.
The Mathematics Leader will demonstrate compliance in relation to Cana Catholic School’s Child Safety Standards in accordance with the Victorian Government’s Ministerial Order No 870.ÌýÌý
Applicants should:

- Have relevant teaching and leadership experience with a demonstrated capacity to initiate growth in learning and teaching, to improve student outcomes.
- Demonstrate high levels of experience and an ability to foster and develop professional relationships with all stakeholders.
- Have strong collaborative skills to transform teams and drive change in the school.
- Have effective organisational, planning and resource management skills to support the education programs of the school.
- Be flexible and adaptable to leading and managing change in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrate a love of learning and be committed to personal and professional growth.
- Have good knowledge of the NCCD model, and work collaboratively with the Learning Diversity Leader to support teachers to make adjustments for students, and gather evidence as required.Ìý
- Possess valid VIT Registration and accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School.
Postgraduate study relevant to the role is advantageous.
