Role Description/Criteria
Candidates must have an ability to plan, work and learn in a team environment. The emphasis of this planning is on Faith-Based Inquiry. They must also have excellent classroom management skills and have a commitment to the ethos of Catholic Education and contemporary pedagogues.
Job description:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the vision and values of St. Dominic’s Primary School
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Dominican charism
- Assist and support the Principal and Leadership Team to implement the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and Annual Action Plan (AAP)
- Contribute to staff and level teams in matters of curriculum, pedagogical approaches and professional learning
- Provide assistance as requested by the Parish Priest and Principal
- Undertake appropriate professional and faith development to enable authentic participation as a member of a Catholic school community
- To foster and support the faith development of students and staff
- Maintain a current VIT registration with current Criminal Record Check.
- Maintain or work towards Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
Maintain records as per requirements for NCCD
Skills/Experience required:
- Bachelor of Education or relevant tertiary qualification.
- A strong commitment to Catholic education.
- An ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- An ability to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters for the needs of all students.
- An eagerness to learn.
An enthusiasm to implement a differentiated curriculum and use modern technology to support student learning.

Special Requirements:
- Promotes the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children; therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
- The successful applicant will hold the Victorian Institute of Teaching registration.
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is preferred.
