Key Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading the development and implementation of curriculum for EAL learners in primary school settings
  • Deep understanding of second language acquisition, language development and strategies to support EAL students
  • Proven ability to build teacher capacity through coaching, mentoring and professional learning
  • Experience assessing student needs, analysing data and using evidence to inform practice and school improvement
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff, families, students and external agencies
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive school culture that celebrates diversity and promotes high expectations for all students
  • Knowledge of current educational policies, practices and compliance requirements including child safety standards

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education, be familiar and comply with the school's Child-Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.

Special Requirements

  • Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
  • A willingness to obtain accreditation to teach in a Catholic School
