Literacy Leader – Role Description (Two years)
Time allocation P - 6 (1.0) or P - 2 (0.4), 3 - 6 (0.6)

- Have a current VIT Registration.

Key Selection Criteria:
- Proven ability to deliver high-impact, evidence-based literacy programs that meet the needs of all learners.
- Evidence of success in implementing consistent approaches to literacy that improve student outcomes.
- Ability to model effective practice, provide actionable feedback and support teachers in developing high-quality literacy instruction.
- Demonstrated capacity to collect, interpret and use literacy data to guide teaching, evaluate programs and target interventions.
- Ability to work productively with leadership teams, teachers and support staff to align curriculum and foster a culture of excellence in literacy teaching.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing learning, remain current with literacy research and introduce new strategies that enhance student engagement and achievement.
The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education, be familiar and comply with the school's Child-Safe Policy and Code of Conduct.Â

Special Requirements
- Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
- A willingness to obtain accreditation to teach in a Catholic School
