Role Description/Criteria

The Canteen Manager is responsible for the efficient, safe, and financially viable operation of the school canteen. This includes planning menus, managing stock, maintaining health and safety standards, supervising staff and volunteers, and ensuring the canteen supports the nutritional needs of students and the wider school community.

Qualifications / Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in operating or managing a school canteen, café, or commercial kitchen, including food preparation, service, and staff supervision.
  • Experience with budgeting, stock control, supplier management, processing daily takings, and authorising invoices.
  • Familiarity with electronic ordering/payment systems such as Flexischools is an advantage.
  • Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Level 2Ìý
  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)

The successful applicant will be expected to support and uphold the Strategic Direction of the College. They will be supported by the leadership structures within the College, as well as an effective Professional Learning program.Ìý

Upon commencement the successful applicant will have obtained a valid Working with Children Check (Employee status) and National Police Record Check.Ìý
