Parade College

Parade College is a Catholic secondary school with campuses at Bundoora and Preston. It is the oldest Edmund Rice School in Australia, dating back to 1871, and has a proud history of excellence in the education and pastoral care of young people. Parade offers a multitude of curriculum options for students whatever their interest may be; from academic, sporting, music, visual arts and trade options.

Parade College RTO

The Edmund Rice Trade Training Centre was established at the Bundoora campus at the beginning of 2010 and the Preston campus in 2013. To support the focus of the Centre, Parade College was granted Registered Training Organisation (RTO) status in October 2013. Since this time the College provides pre-apprenticeship and VET training to students in years 10, 11 and 12 who are intending on pursuing post-secondary studies either at TAFE or university; apprenticeships, or employment.

Tertiary Pathways Program

Starting in Term 1 2025,Ìýour VCE Vocational Major program, based at our Preston campus, has expanded our student offerings by introducing a new Tertiary Pathways Program. The Tertiary Pathways Program includes a second stream of our highly successful Sport Academy, along with a new Business Academy.ÌýBoth academies provide a bespoke educational opportunity that allow students to gain direct entry into a number of undergraduate tertiary courses at La Trobe University upon completion of the two-year course.Ìý

The College offers a range of vocational courses to both internal and external secondary students. Our courses are delivered by fully accredited trainers whose industry based knowledge and skills remain relevant and current.

The Position

The College is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated VET Teacher to join our team in an ongoing capacity. Applications are invited from individuals who can demonstrate a passion for Sport and Sport Development and offer engaging teaching and learning experiences that will challenge and inspire our students.

This position is available for commencement from 27 January 2027.Ìý Full-time and part-time applications will be considered.

Candidates will:

  • Be committed to the aims and philosophy of Catholic Education.
  • Be able to articulate a commitment to learning and teaching.
  • Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school.
  • Have appropriate qualifications and industry experience to teach a VET subject (i.e. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the Teacher Skill Set).
  • Be a registered (or willing to obtain registration) Teacher in Victoria or Specialist Vocational Education and Training (VET) Registration (Permission to Teach).
