Role Description/Criteria

St. Scholastica's Catholic Primary School located in Burwood is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and friendly classroom teacher to join our school for Semester Two (Term 3 and 4) 2026 two days a week (Mon & Fri). The successful applicant will be required to:

  • support the Catholic ethos of the school
  • display a strong knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
  • provide effective differentiated teaching using data in the key areas of English and Mathematics
  • provide engaging contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum.
  • build and maintain positive respectful relationships with students, colleagues and parents
  • work flexibly and collaboratively within staff teams
  • have highly effective organisational and communication skills
  • be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement
  • have a knowledge of assessment and data analysis
  • design and implement differentiated teaching strategies in response to assessed learning strengths and needs of the child
  • have a knowledge and/ or experience in explicit Instruction, vision of learning and vision of engagement.
