Role Description/Criteria

TheÌýRole

Stella Maris Catholic Primary School is seeking a passionate and committed Learning Diversity Leader (LDL) to support and enhance inclusive practices across our school community. This part-time leadership role is integral to ensuring all students, particularly those with diverse learning needs, are supported to flourish in a faith-filled environment.

Working in partnership with the leadership team, the LDL will lead whole-school approaches to inclusion, support teachers in planning and implementing differentiated programs, and oversee NCCD processes and Personalised Learning Plans (including Parent Support Group meetings) . The role also includes building staff capacity through coaching and professional learning, and working closely with Learning Support Officers to maximise student outcomes.

Please note that this part-time role, Ìýmaybe negotiable between 0.4 and 0.5.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Relevant teaching qualification and current VIT registration
  • Accreditation to teach in a Catholic school
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs
  • Knowledge and experience with NCCD processes and documentation
  • Experience in developing and implementing Personalised Learning Plans and Behaviour Support Plans
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Commitment to Child Safe Standards and the wellbeing of all students
