Qualifications:
• Appropriate educational qualification to teach in a Primary School
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a willingness to undertake accreditation
• VIT Registration
• Level 2 First Aid preferable
Personal Qualities/Skills:
- Hardworking, fun and energetic with a joyful and positive commitment to and involvement in all aspects of school life
- Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively in a leadership position
- A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education
- Sound classroom management skills
- Current knowledge and competency in using technology to engage students safely
- Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills, including thorough record keeping, detailed planning and assessment documents, along with meeting agendas and minutes etcÌý
- A passion for teaching children and a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
- Confident implementation of explicit teaching methods using engagement and behavioural norms in line with ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Vision for Instruction and Vision for Engagement
- Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
- Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families
