Role Description/Criteria

The role is inclusive of assisting student learning in the Italian language :

  • under the general supervision of teaching staff, provide students with rich and rewarding Italian language experiences
  • undertake learning support activities involving specialist cultural understanding and skills
  • assisting students with classroom activities using the Italian language
  • supporting teachers to develop their knowledge of the Italian language
  • acting as a cultural support person or mentor
  • assisting in the delivery of a culturally inclusive curriculum
  • participate in the monitoring, evaluation and reporting of student learning in the Italian language
  • cater for the individual needs of students in a supportive, learning environment
  • have the ability to work and plan collaborativelyÌý
  • contribute to the ongoing professional learning of the school community
