Role Description/Criteria

Aquinas College wishes to employ a dynamic, suitably qualified Learning Support Teacher to commence Term 2, 2026. 

The Learning Support Teacher will join the Education Support Services (ESS) Department which provides access to education for students with various learning needs and abilities in accordance with the NCCD. Aquinas College has well developed policies and systems to support students and gather the data required for NCCD.

The role involves working with other Learning Support Teachers and guiding Learning Support Officers across Years 7 to Year 9 in a House System approach. The well resourced Education Support Department is led by the Director of Education Support Services.

The successful applicant will have:

  • proven experience in delivering high-quality teaching and learning
  • a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
  • excellent communication skills
  • the ability to work successfully within a team
  • current VIT Registration or equivalent
  • relevant permissions to work in Australia
