Role Description/Criteria

St Bernadette's School is seeking an experienced, motivated and dedicated teacher and leader to join our school community as the Learning Leader - Student Wellbeing. This is a Position of Leadership - Level 2 and is a Parental Leave Replacement position ending on April 9th, 2027. It has an FTE of 0.6 which is negotiable. Starting date is week beginning Monday 9th March. The starting date is also negotiable.Â
The role of the Learning Leader - Student Wellbeing is to support the Principal in leading the planning, delivery, evaluation and improvement of the wellbeing and education of all learners in the school community. The role will also include a percentage of time working in classrooms.
Applicants are required to have:
- a strong commitment to the Catholic faith and to Catholic Education
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School (preferred)
- recent success and experience in a leadership position
- current VIT registration, inclusive of a Criminal Record check
- post-graduate qualifications in Student Wellbeing (preferred)
- a strong commitment to ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ Vision for Engagement, the Child Safe Standards, the wellbeing of students and a commitment to the emotional and educational wellbeing of students.

The successful applicant will demonstrate their ability to meet the following selection criteria:
- a strong commitment to our Catholic values and ethos.
- expertise in contemporary wellbeing for learning approaches, practices and assessment
- possess an understanding of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL), the Berry Street Education Model and Rights, Responsibilities and Respectful Relationships.
- an ability to lead, collaborate and actively contribute to a team focused environment.
- an ability to build the capacity of teachers' wellbeing knowledge and practice, through modelling, mentoring and being available to work within the learning spaces with educators and children
- an ability to interpret and analyse data (including SWIS) so as to lead strategically, plan effectively and respond to the needs of all learners.
- display a willingness to be open and responsive to new learning.
- have a passion for building strong partnerships between families and school.
