Role Description/Criteria
St Thomas the Apostle is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated teacher for a full time classroom position with a negotiated start date for the 2026 school year. This is a fixed term maternity replacement position until the end of the 2026 school year with the possibility of extending into 2027. You would be working with a committed and friendly staff within a strong and supportive school community. This is a fabulous opportunity for a Graduate, or someone in the first few years of their career.The school is focused on MACs Vision for Instruction and the science of learning.
The successful applicant will have the capacity to:
- build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents
- support the Catholic ethos of the school and the RE program
- provide effective differentiated teaching in the key areas of literacy and numeracy
- provide engaging, contemporary learning opportunities across the curriculum
- a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
- work collaboratively with staff.
