Role Description/Criteria
St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Religious Education Teacher to join our community. The successful candidate will support students in developing spiritual literacy, critical thinking, and a deep understanding of Catholic tradition while engaging thoughtfully with contemporary issues.Ìý This is an ongoing part time (08. to 1FTE) position to commence asap.
The classes will include (may be subject to change):
- Year 11 Religious Education
- Year 10 Religious Education (x3)
- Year 9 Religious Education (x2)
- Year 8 Religious Education
You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons
- Foster thoughtful discussion around faith, ethics, identity, and social justice
- Create inclusive learning environments that respect diverse perspectives
- Integrate Catholic Social Teaching into curriculum and classroom practice
- Collaborate with colleagues to design meaningful curriculum and assessment
- Contribute to the spiritual life of the College through liturgies, retreats, and reflection opportunities
We want to hear from you if you are an educator who:
- Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong understanding of Catholic theology and Religious Education curriculum
- Values collaboration, professional growth, and student-centred learning
