Located in Elsternwick, an inner-southern suburb of Melbourne, the school operates 14 straight classes from Prep to Year 6, with two classes at each year level. Specialist programs are offered in Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music, and LOTE (Italian).

Role Overview
St Joseph’s Elsternwick is inviting expressions of interest from qualified teachers who can provide high-quality classroom instruction and support across all year levels and programs. Casual Relief Teachers (CRT) at our school play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning and contributing positively to the school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and effective learning experiences aligned with the Victorian Curriculum.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Follow school routines, policies, and behaviour expectations.
- Communicate professionally with students, staff, and leadership.
- Uphold the Catholic ethos and values of the school.
Required Qualifications & Documentation
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration.
- Commitment to the Child Safe Standards and the school’s Child Safety Code of Conduct.
Desirable Attributes
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across year levels P-6 and specialist classes including Visual Arts, Italian, Music and PE.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Reliability and professionalism in all aspects of school life.
