The Position

Are you a creative and strategic communicator with a passion for digital engagement? Loreto Toorak, a leading Catholic school for girls with a proud 150-year history in Australia, is seeking a Social Media and Marketing Coordinator to join our dynamic Marketing and Admissions team. This is a full time, ongoing role, is based on campus in Toorak, Monday to Friday. 

In this exciting role, you will play a key part in promoting the School’s brand and reputation through innovative marketing and social media strategies. You will manage our social media platforms, maintain a vibrant website, and produce engaging content that reflects our values and community spirit. Your work will ensure that Loreto Toorak remains visible, relevant, and connected with current and prospective families, alumnae, and the wider community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the School’s social media presence across various platforms taking ownership of the social media content calendar, planning content in advance while remaining responsive to real-time opportunities
  • Define, develop and continually refine the School’s social media brand voice and personality
  • Create and edit high-quality digital content, including video, photography, and copywriting
  • Coordinate photography, imagery and video shoots, including messaging, distribution and storage 
  • Maintain and refresh the School’s website, ensuring timely updates and engaging content
  • Support marketing campaigns, SEO, AEO and online advertising initiatives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging
  • Monitor analytics and provide insights to inform future strategies

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, or media
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, MS Office, Adobe Suite, Canva, and video editing tools (e.g., CapCut)
  • Highly organised with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • A current Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • Experience and interest in photography and videography will be highly regarded
