We have an exciting opportunity, Position of Leadership as Director Faith and Mission, commencing Term 1, 2026. This is a POL5 for three years, plus an ongoing teaching position. Â
Remuneration will be based on experience, following the Teacher scale of the Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2022 (CEMEA).

Job Description:
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- To embed the Lasallian tradition of educating the whole person through the curriculum and the range of activities which make up College life;
- To take responsibility for the organisation of all Retreats, Lasallian Service programs, Social Justice initiatives and all College liturgical events;
- To coordinate and organise the annual Staff Formation Days;
- To prepare and oversee the Budget for all Ministry;
- To lead the prayer and liturgical life of the College in conjunction with the Principal, Deputy Principal - Staff and Students and Heads of Schools;
- To liaise effectively with the ÃÛÌÒÊÓÆµ of Melbourne and the feeder Parish Priests
- To work collaboratively with the Lasallian Mission Council, Lasallian Mission Services and the Lasallian Youth Ministry Team in support of Staff Formation activities
- coordinate and oversee on a yearly and term by term basis, whole College social justice initiatives
- To support the Lasallian Captains and House Captains as they work for social justice within their portfolios;
- To organise and coordinate all aspects of the Mission Action Day (MAD) fundraising program
- Manage the Religious Education Learning Area, supporting subject teachers, fostering excellence in teaching, professionalism of practice and a spirit of cooperation and collegiality within the Learning Area.
Skills/Experience Required:
We require the following qualifications and qualities in the ideal candidate:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in education including a Master’s Degree (preferable);
- Experience in relevant educational leadership.
- Accreditation to Teach Religious Education
- Current VIT Registration.
- 3 Referees including Parish Priest
- A strong commitment to Catholic education.
- Ability to build and maintain professional and caring relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Skills to create an engaging, educational, and challenging learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of all students.
- An eagerness to learn and grow in the field of education.
- Proficiency in implementing a differentiated curriculum and leveraging modern technology to support student learning.
Special Requirements:
At De La Salle College, the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all children are paramount. Therefore, the successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of and commitment to providing a safe environment for children.
The successful applicant must hold a valid Victorian Institute of Teaching registration. While accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
