Qualifications:
• Appropriate educational qualification to teach in a Primary School
• Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic Primary School or a willingness to undertake accreditation
• VIT Registration
• Level 2 First Aid preferable
Personal Qualities/Skills:
• Hardworking, fun and energetic with a joyful and positive commitment to all aspects of school life
• Ability to build relationships with all members of the community, communicate effectively, solve problems, think creatively and work collaboratively
• A strong commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic Education
• Sound classroom management skills
• Current knowledge and competency in using technology to engage students and provide learning opportunities which enables them to collaborate, communicate, connect and learn collectively online
• Commitment to school and community events and activities through attendance, organisation and support
• Ability to provide a safe, secure learning environment for all, in line with the current child safe standards
• Excellent organisational skills, including thorough record keeping and detailed planning and assessment documents
• A passion for teaching children and a sound knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum
• Confident implementation of contemporary pedagogy with an ability to plan and teach using explicit teaching methods and inquiry based learning
• Ability to use student data to tailor curriculum to meet the individual needs of students
• Ability to be confidential, responsive and sensitive to issues raised by staff, students and families
