Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking an empathetic, and inclusive educator who demonstrates a willingness to engage in authentic, faith-based teaching for students to explore meaning, reflect deeply, question respectfully, and connect the message of Jesus in the Gospels to modern life.Ìý

Central to this role is the ability to confidently deliver Religious Education curriculum that develops students’ religious literacy and deepens their understanding of the rich tradition of the Catholic Church, including the intentional use of prayer, ritual, and liturgical celebrations in the classroom. Through explicit teaching, you will guide students through an encounter with Scripture, Church history, and Catholic social teaching, enabling them to appreciate the relevance and influence of our tradition on contemporary society.Ìý

The ideal candidate is a facilitator who can combine authentic witness with the ability to engage students in meaningful dialogue, drawing on their individual lived experiences and understanding of faith to support modern religious and spiritual practices as an integral part of ongoing formation.

Our MacKillop College community of talented educators strives to prepare their students for life both in and outside of the classroom through the delivery of an engaging academic and behavioural curriculum filled with learning experiences designed to encourage every student to achieve their personal and academic potential.

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity however, part-time applications will also be considered. The successful applicant can commence Term 2, 2026. Ìý
