Role Description/Criteria

St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary School is searching for a highly skilled, experienced educator wanting to join a vibrant community dedicated to fostering academic excellence, spiritual growth, and social and emotional wellbeing in our students.

We are seeking a teacher who shares our enthusiasm for evidence-based teaching strategies and has the capacity to work 0.6 - 1.0 FTE.  At St. Francis, you'll have the opportunity to receive:

  • DIBELS and Spelling Mastery professional development
  • Orton-Gillingham and Writing Revolution training
  • Ongoing instructional coaching
  • Positive Behaviours for Learning induction and professional development

The successful applicant will be able to begin work at the commencement of Term 2 or by negotiation.   • enhancing the learning of individual and small groups of students through explicit teaching
  • an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues

  • a capacity to use data to make informed decisions about learning and teaching
  • strong behaviour management that promotes the development of prosocial skills (an understanding and experience with PBL an advantage)
  • an ability to collaborate with teachers, leaders and Allied Health professionals for the success of students
  • the willingness to adhere to St Francis of Assisi's Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 1359
  • a commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children
