Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Laboratory Assistant to support the delivery of practical science education.
This person will work collaboratively with members of the science faculty to ensure our laboratories are fully prepared for engaging practical learning for students. The role requires the preparation of materials, chemicals and equipment for science classes and assisting with the setup and pack down of laboratory-based activities.
A key responsibility of this position is supporting the safe operation of the College laboratories including maintaining appropriate hazard and safety controls, ensuring the safe storage, handling and disposal of chemicals, assisting with laboratory risk assessments, and supporting compliance with relevant workplace health and safety standards.
The successful applicant will demonstrate strong administrative and organisational skills, and the capacity to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.Ìý
This is a Full time, fixed term appointment until January 2027 (parental leave replacement)
