Role Description/Criteria

St Andrew's Primary School is seeking a dynamic leader to leading and working with the school leadership, staff, students, parent and parish community. The successful applicant will embrace a shared role of Deputy Principal and a further portfolio to be determined: Religious Education Leader or Wellbeing Support Leader.ÌýThe appointment will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2026.ÌýÌý

This is an ongoing teaching position with the leadership role being a 3 year contract.

The successful applicant will:

  • be an instructional leader, demonstrate an ability to embed a culture of high expectation of student learning and build expert teacher practice which is evidence based, high impact and inclusive
  • be an experienced teacher who embraces innovation and can lead a dynamic and committed team
  • demonstrate the ability to gather and analyse data to inform and drive school improvement
  • have relevant leadership experience across multiple portfolios within the last five years in Catholic parish primary schools, or current experience in a role associated with and supporting Catholic parish primary schools
  • model the Catholic and community values of the school, working with the community of this school which is made up from families from diverse social backgrounds
  • actively engage with students, staff and parents to promote a culture of learning and collaboration
  • work collaboratively with all others in the Catholic school community to strengthen and actively promote the Catholic Vision and Mission of the school and parish
  • provide an environment of inspiration, engagement and fun to the children in their care
  • have a strong commitment to the philosophy of Catholic Education

The successful applicant will have:

  • VIT registration
  • a current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to undertake a First Aid Course).
  • adhere to our Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies
  • RE AccreditationÌý
  • Master's Degree, or working towards obtaining a Master's Degree
