Role Description/Criteria
St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.
At St Columba鈥檚 College, we believe in empowering young women through education that inspires curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English Teacher who is passionate about engaging students in meaningful learning experiences. This is an ongoing part time (0.51 FTE) position to commence at the beginning of 2026
As part of our English learning area, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to fostering a lifelong love of English in our students.
You will:
- Deliver engaging English lessons across Years 9 to 11
- Inspire students to think critically and express themselves confidently through writing and discussion
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative curriculum programs
- Create a classroom environment that promotes inclusion, respect, and academic excellence

- Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the English curriculum
