Role Description/Criteria
St Columba's College Ltd is a Catholic secondary girls' school located in Essendon under the stewardship of Mary Aikenhead Ministries and conducted in the tradition of the Sisters of Charity.
At St Columba’s College, we believe in empowering young women through education that inspires curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated English and Religious Education Teacher who is passionate about engaging students in meaningful learning experiences. This is an ongoing part time (0.8 FTE) position to commence at the beginning of 2026
As part of our English and Religious Education learning areas, you will join dynamic teams dedicated to inspiring students to think deeply, communicate effectively, and engage with faith, ethics and contemporary issues. The classes will include:
- Year 11 English
- Year 10 Religious Education x2
- Year 9 Religious Education x2
You will:
- Deliver engaging and contemporary learning programs in English and Religious Education
- Encourage students to think critically, communicate with confidence and explore meaning and purpose
- Model the values and mission of Catholic education through relationships, curriculum and daily interactions
- Work collegially to shape a positive learning culture across the College
We want to hear from you if you are an educator who:
- Holds current registration (VIT) and relevant tertiary qualifications
- Holds accreditation to teach in a Catholic School (or willing to obtain)
- Demonstrates a strong knowledge of the English and RE curriculum
- Values collaboration, professional growth, and student-centred learning
